When you
attend a Solid Foundation lesson, you can expect excellent
instruction, enthusiastic teaching, great fun, and affordable prices;
all from professional baseball instructors.
The key
to our success is the individual attention we are able to provide
to each student through our focus on a low
student-to-teacher ratio. We know that each player is different
- and we work with them on their individual strengths rather than through
a cookie-cutter approach.
Solid
Foundation Baseball School provides
personal lessons and instruction throughout the year to baseball players
across Central and Southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities Metro Area,
as well as small group sessions in the winter, spring, and summer.

FAQ's
How do the SFBS baseball sessions work?
You reserve a day of the week and a time during that day where you receive
instruction from a qualified SFBS instructor every week at that time
for the entire session.
Do
Sessions 1, 2 & 3 all cover the same things?
Each small group or private lesson is specific to that student(s) and
covers what the player(s) want to improve on. Each subsequent lesson
builds on what the instructor and student(s) have already covered. Since
the lessons are private or semi-private (small group), the instructor
is able to start each individual at the place best for them and work
from there.
Our professional
SFBS instructors have expertise in every aspect of baseball and
can provide focused training on:
Hitting |
Pitching |
Catching |
Throwing |
Infielding |
Baserunning |
Outfielding |
Baseball fundamentals |
Students
can sign up for individual lessons, or SFBS also encourages
students and parents to create small groups on their own to save money.
SFBS strives to be flexible to each student's specific
needs - both in terms of training objectives and in terms of time. If
you have a specific time or day you'd like to meet, please contact
SFBS at 320-857-2244.
When students
sign up for 6 or more lessons with Solid Foundation,
they will receive an SFBS
t-shirt and can also request a video evaluation of their hitting
and progress.
Students
should wear comfortable baseball attire and bring their own baseball
glove and shoes to their lessons.
It
is amazing to think that it is 2013 already. Thanks to God's blessing
and your participation, it has been a great year for Solid Foundation
Baseball School and the Minnesota S.W.A.T.
We
are now ready to receive your reservations for the 2013 Spring Training
season. Lessons will begin in most locations starting the week of Jan.
7th, 2013. The first session will be a 4 week session while sessions
2 and 3 will be the usual 6 weeks. We have a few location changes for
this year's offerings. We have recently opened up our nicest facility
to date. The new facility is located in Monticello at 406 E. 7th Street,
Monticello. Since we will be offering lessons in Monticello, will be
not be offering lessons this year in Hanover. Our Pro Batter pitching
machine is now located in Monticello. We will still have offerings in
Kandiyohi, at our St. Cloud area location, Grand Slam in Coon Rapids
and Triple Play in Prior Lake. We are still trying to work out offerings
in Eden Valley.
If
you are interested in having a lesson in November or December, we can
do that. Also, we are still conducting lessons weekly through our 60/50
program (60 minutes of private lesson for $50). If you want
to sign up for the weekly 60/50 email, please let me know at mike@solidfoundationbaseball.com.
Our
new elite teams, called The Minnesota
S.W.A.T., played in our first tournaments (Fall Kansas/Missouri
State Tournament) in October in Kansas City. Our 5 teams (18u, 16u,
15u, 14u, 13u) had a great experience there. After pool play, our 18u
and 16u were the #1 seeds. We are happy to announce that our 18u team
won the tournament! We will be playing in 2 more tournaments in 2012.
This November we will be in Phoenix, AZ and in December we will be in
the Orlando, Florida area. If you are interested in trying out next
year for the S.W.A.T., you can do so by coming to our tryout in late
summer 2013.
As
always, we are humbled by your trust in us and we work to meet your
expectations. We are grateful to be able to teach you the great game
of baseball and also to hopefully to encourage you in life.
We
look forward to being able to serve you again this year.
